Chaplaincy

As with the bridge, chaplaincy seeks to provide people with a peaceful secure environment to journey from one area of their life to another.

As a practice we are committed to holistic care of our patients. It is well recognised that people’s deepest inner needs (sometimes called spiritual needs) can have an impact on physical health.

We have a Chaplaincy Service which has been running since 2006. It aims to help address these un-met inner needs.

The basis of this service is a non-religious, person centred approach to care. We employ one part-time Chaplain – Sarah Giffen.  We have several other volunteer Chaplains.  They provide a variety of services including – listening, direction, prayer (if desired), reflection, support and bereavement counselling.

Your GP may raise this service with you, if it is felt to be appropriate for your specific need. Alternatively you can self refer. Appointments can be booked with our Reception Staff and appointments are located within our building.
