The Practice Managers manage all of the business aspects of the Practice such as making sure that the right systems and the right people are in place, at the right time, in order to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and IT (information technology). The Practice Manager supports the Reception Team, GPs and other medical professionals to deliver patient services and also helps to develop extended services, enhancing patient experience and care.

Reception

Our cheerful and friendly Reception Staff work as a team and are the public “face” of our practice and are here to help you communicate with us.

They will often need to ask you further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we assist you as effectively as possible. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses. They are fully trained in all aspects of their duties and work under the instructions of the Partners and the practice manager.

They are involved in registration of new patients, making of GP and nurse appointments, handling telephone enquiries, preparation of surgeries, taking Home Visit requests, changes of addresses/telephone numbers, looking after clinic recall systems and scanning of patient related correspondence, secretarial and administrative duties.

They are a very busy group of people who do a difficult job well.
